Rani ‘throws’ her daughter Angel, and son, Abhishek, 5, into the sump
HYDERABAD: A woman killed her one-year-old daughter by throwing her in a sump before hanging herself to death in their house at Chaitanyapuri Colony of Balajinagar in Alwal on Monday, the police said.
Rani, 30, wife of Mark, ward member of Balajinagar village, allegedly threw her daughter Angel, and five-year-old son, Abhishek, into the sump around 4 p.m.
Alerted by the shouts of the boy, neighbours rushed into their house and pulled out the two children.
Angel fell unconscious by then.
She was rushed to hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. Abhishek is recuperating in hospital.
Rani was found hanging to the ceiling fan when the neighbours broke open the doors.
A suicide note purportedly written by her and found in the room stated that she was ending her life due to personal problems.
“I love my children and wanted to take them with them. No one is responsible for my death,” the note stated. The woman appealed to people not to conduct autopsy of their bodies.
Police registered a case of murder, attempt to murder and suspicious death.
