Candidates who have qualified EAMCET-2013 and are waiting for web counselling should be cautious while exercising their web options, said Superintendent of Police D. Nagendra Kumar in his inaugural address at the EAMCET-2013 web counselling awareness programme organised by Jaya Prakash Narayan Engineering College here, on Sunday.

The S.P. said that candidates should work hard to excel in their field of choice so that they do not repent later.

K.S. Ravi Kumar, Chairman, JPNCE, said that his colleagues had been taking the initiative to conduct such awareness programmes on a regular basis. He asked students and parents to utilise such opportunities to clarify their doubts. K.M. Subramanyam, former director, technical education, asked participants to familiarise themselves with the process. Once they have opted for a stream, they should be committed to excelling in their chosen area, he said.

Dr. Subhash Kulkarni, Professor in Electronics from Bangalore, called upon the aspirants not to ape their friends or neighbours in choosing the college or course. Dr. C.M.
