The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant is emerging as one of the leading steel makers of the country and has great future, Chairman and Managing Director of VSP A.P. Choudhary said while welcoming 233 management trainees into the company’s fold at a ceremony held on Wednesday. He urged them to work with commitment and dedication since the plant was being expanded to a capacity of 6.3 million tones at a total cost of Rs. 12,500 crore. Career growth for the employees was encouraging, Mr. Choudhary said. Director (operations) Umesh Chandra said environment was one of the core values of the company and advised the trainees to learn the technology adopted in the plant. Human resources was a great strength to VSP, Director (personnel) Y.R. Reddy said.
