Students from VITS College of Engineering have emerged as runner-up and third in whole show from entire Andhra Pradesh in Robohunt conducted by IIT-Guwahati during August 27-September 4.

The students were felicitated by college principal B. Muralikrishna and others on Sunday. Robohunt is an annual event to showcase the technical skills of students from across the country.

VITS students from ECE branch were selected for the final round. They formed three teams among which one team had raised their flag at the national level by becoming the runner-up. The team comprised P. Chandrika, Subham Raj Gupta, S. Sunil Ram, Y. Shiva Kumar, and U. Siddhartha Reddy (Mech.)

Hand Gesture Robot was displayed by the various colleges. The specialty of the robot is that it is controlled by hand. The team from VITS was awarded a trophy and Rs. 2,500 as a token of appreciation.
