About 20 Kolam tribal villagers from Bheemangondi in Goyagaon gram panchayat in Kerameri mandal on Wednesday lodged a police complaint alleging social boycott by another section of villagers for having voted for a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate in the sarpanch election.

The villagers accused of being denied drawal of drinking water from the local borewell and cooking of mid-day meals by the rival section, also comprising Kolam tribal people.

The victims of the discrimination, who had voted for the TDP supported winner Ananta Girijabai, drew the wrath of the followers of the defeated candidate Sidam Panchapula who was supported by Telangana Rashtra Samiti.

The Kerameri police is planning to take up an awareness campaign in the village.
