New B2B pattern will create a platform for retailers to meet wholesalers

The 12{+t}{+h}edition of the annual Vijayawada Jewellery Fair 2013 will unfold at Seshasai Kalyana Vedika in the city on January 19.

“This is the only B2C jewellery expo happening in the coastal Andhra Pradesh. In an effort to promote B2B segment from this year onwards, we have extended special B2B invitations to jewellers of the neighbouring towns in five district — Krishna, Guntur, Khammam and East and West Godavari,” said T.V. Siva Rama Rao, CEO of Aditi event management company which is putting together the glitter show.

“While the B2C mode will facilitate people of coastal Andhra to buy jewellery for the current wedding and festive seasons locally instead of travelling to Chennai or Hyderabad, the new B2B pattern will create a platform for retailers of these regions to meet wholesalers from different parts of the country. The local buyers will have a wide variety of designs and patterns to choose from as jewellers from different places like Jaipur, New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Chennai, and Hyderabad besides Vijayawada, will come under one roof at the exhibition,” said Mr. Rama Rao.

Mr. Rama Rao said each of the three days, four lucky draws of Rs. 5,000 each will be announced at 7.30 p.m. at the venue. The amount of the lucky draw is being sponsored by New Delhi-based Ekaani, Surajbhan Jewellers and Hyderabad-based Vajraj Jewels and Shree Raj Jewellers. All visitors, irrespective of whether they purchase jewellery or not, would be eligible to participate in the draw. Mr. Rama Rao said Aditi, professional event management team, had been organising trade shows, road shows, conferences, employees’ meets and other corporate events in the city for the last 10 years.
