Students of Zilla Parishat High School, Sangam Jagarlamudi, diagnosed with visual defects have been provided with spectacles by Vignan University.
The NSS wing of Vignan University showed its philanthropic side after tests conducted by the Sankara Eye Hospital. Out of 700 students, 70 had difficulty in vision. Further tests revealed that 35 of them would need spectacles.
At a programme held on the school premises on Thursday, Chancellor of Vignan University, Lavu Rathaiah gave away the spectacles.
