GUNTUR: Chemical engineering students of Vignan’s Engineering College, Vadlamudi bagged several prizes in the technical contest “FUSION - 07” which was conducted by JNTU Anantapur.
In the paper presentation event, T. Gopi Raju and R.S.S Teja of fourth year won the first prize for the paper “ Electro Chemical Degradation of Resorcinol using mixed oxides Titanium electrode for wastewater treatment.”
In the Technical Quiz session also, the first prize went to M. Srikanth, Sk. Azar Ali, T. Gopi Raju of final year.
M. Srikanth and M.V. Kiran Kumar of IV Year bagged second prize in the Poster presentation event.
A. Balaji and Sk.M. Subhani of IV Year won the consolation prize for the paper “Treatment of dyeing industry effluents by absorption technique” in the Paper presentation event.
Vignan students also showed their talent in CHEMISPHERE – 07 conducted by Gayathri Vidhya Parishad College of Engineering at Visakhapatnam.
In the paper presentation section, first prize was bagged by B. Satyadeepthi and Ch. Bhavani of III year for the paper “Industrial Waste Water Treatment using Biofilters.”
B.V.S. Praveen, P.V.K. Pradeep and Sk. Azar Ali of IV Year Chemical engineering won the second prize in Technical Quiz. Chairman of Vignan group Lavu Rathaiah, Executive Director P. Koteswara Rao, Principal V. Vasudeva Rao, Head of Chemical Engineering V.M. Rao and staff members congratulated the students for their success.
