GUNTUR: The Vadlamudi-based Vignan University’s application for the membership of Microsoft IT Academy programme has been accepted. The university now being a full-fledged member of the academy can avail itself of e-learning portfolio that provides more than 300 multimedia courses and videos to help students and teachers improve their skills.

With better trained teachers the students become job-oriented comprehensively, said university Registrar C. Narendar Reddy.

The faculty of the university can become Microsoft Certified trainer to give the latest technology oriented training to their students.

The faculty and students of the university can access Microsoft’s Library and Microsoft’s Office Academic Courses (MOAC) curriculum with lecture notes and other learning materials.


The benefits also include free MSDN & Tech net subscriptions. The students of the university through e-learning can access the Microsoft’s Courseware and upgrade their skills on a day-to-day basis. Certificate of proficiency on Microsoft technologies can be obtained duly certified by Microsoft from the university after finishing the course.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Narendar Reddy said that Vignan University, besides research promotion was committed to enhance the employability of students, which was of serious concern now-a-days.

He opined that the synergy of industries and institute can only solve this problem.

Engineering and Technology Director K.V.N.Srinivasa Rao said that the university was one of the few in the country awarded membership of the IT academy.
