NIZAMABAD: On reliable information, the One Town police led by Circle Inspector S. Rajasekhar Rao on Monday night raided the Sunny Video Parlour located near the Tirumala theatre Chowrasta and apprehended two persons, Gandamala Dasu and Suvasu Sudarshan, for allegedly circulating pornographic CDs.
The police recovered 760 CDs that included pornographic as well as pirated CDs of latest hit movies such as `Gajini', `Mahanandi', `Premiste', `Danger', `Bhagiratha', `Chatrapathi', `Aparichitudu', `Chandramukhi', `Apaharan', `Bluff Master', `Fun', `Home Delivery', `Kalyug' and `Neal and Nikki.'
Disclosing this at a press conference here on Tuesday, Superintendent of Police Mahesh Chandra Laddha said the arrested persons were the managers of the video parlour and its owner, Narender, was absconding. Efforts were on to arrest him, he said, and added that the accused was earlier served a nine-month sentence in a similar case.
Mr. Laddha said the police were getting information regarding the circulation of obscene CDs for sometime now. There were some more video parlours in the town, which were involved in these type of offences, and therefore the police kept a close watch on them, he said.
