Veteran actress Radha Kumari (70) died at her residence in Motinagar here on Thursday.

She is the wife of noted writer and actor Ravi Kondala Rao. She was associated with theatre before entering films and had played various roles in about 10,000 plays. Both Radha Kumari and Ravi Kondala Rao made their debut in films with ‘Tene Manasulu' of Adurthi Subba Rao and had played the on-screen wife and husband roles in over 100 films.

Radha Kumari acted in over 700 films in all South Indian languages and had recently won ‘Nandi' award for her role in ‘Mee Sreyobhilashi' film. Ravi Kondala Rao was in Dubai when Radha Kumari breathed her last following cardiac arrest.

President of Move Artistes Association (MAA) M. Murali Mohan and general secretary Ahuti Prasad expressed grief over her death.
