Telugu Desam Party’s candidate for Tirupati Assembly Constituency M. Venkataramana rubbished the allegations of ‘land grabbing’, which were vociferously advocated by his political rivals here recently.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Mr. Venkataramana flayed the allegations made time and again by his adversaries and maintained that there was a vast difference between a businessman and a crook.

“The titles of land under my possession are completely legal and no one has the right to make such statements, unless they have the required proofs. I have even shared these details with our party president N. Chandrababu Naidu,” he asserted.

Mr. Venkataramana also said that he would leave politics and register the lands in front of public, if those making allegations can uphold the veracity of their statements.

Highlighting his work and achievements as a former Congress MLA and TUDA Chairman, he said he would let his actions do the talking if elected to power.

“The whole city knows about my work and I have always stood for their welfare. I have also strengthened the TTD schemes and looked after the interests of the employees.

This is quite evident as TDP chose to put me forward as their candidate for Tirupati Assembly constituency,” he maintained.

Mr. Venkataramana further vowed to speed up the process of providing houses to the poor and develop the existing infrastructure of the city.
