The four-day consecration ceremony of the presiding deity’s idol in the newly-built Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy temple at Devunikadapa here began with Sri Ganapathi pooja on Thursday.

Swasthi Punyahavachanam, Matruka pooja, Acharyadiruthvigvaranam, Shodasa Stambha pooja, Dwara pooja, Adityadi Navagraha Mantaparadhana, Pradhana Kalasasthapana, and Sundarakanda Parayanam would be performed from 8.30 a.m. on June 1, Viswa Hindu Parishad Prachara Pramukh Madhva Srikanth Sarma and temple’s organiser J.K. Krishna Singh told a press conference at YSR Memorial Press Club here on Friday.

Matyangrahanam, Ankurarpana, Agni Pratishta, Deeksha Homam, Moolamantra Japam, Jaladhivasam and Sundarakanda Parayanam would be performed on June 1 evening, they said. Yantrabhishekam, Pradhana Homams, Avahitha Devatha Homams would be performed from 8.30 a.m. on June 2 and Mahasnapanam, Dhyanadhivasam and Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam would be performed from 5.30 p.m. the same day.

Temple founder-trustees J.K. Narasimha Singh and J.K. Saroja Bai reconstructed the temple. Eighteen Vedic pandits and archakas Brahmanapalli Chandramouli Sarma, Murali Sarma, Jagannatha Sarma, Yogeeswara Sarma, Madhu Sarma and Srikanth Sarma would consecrate the presiding deity’s idol in Karkataka lagnam on Vaisakha Bahula Dasami from 9 a.m. on June 3, they said. Garthapooja, Yantra and Vigraha Pratishta, Kalanyasam, Jwaladarsanam, Kumbhabali, Godarsanam, Kalasodwasana and Kumbhabhishekam would be performed, they said.

Abhayanjaneya temple Yantra and Vigraha Pratishta would also be performed in the newly-built Sri Abhayanjaneya Swamy temple at Putlampalle on June 3, temple organisers K. Krishna Reddy, and K. Navaneeswara Reddy told a news conference in Sri Nageswara temple here on Friday.

Navagraha Kalasaradhana, Yagasala Pravesam and Chaturveda Swasthi would be performed on June 1.
