Students asked to show gratitude to teachers

GUNTUR: Pharmaceutical sciences have vast potential providing a number of opportunities for students at various levels depending on their capabilities and skills, Kakatiya University Pharmacy Dean D.R. Krishna has said. As part of Teacher’s Day celebrations at SIMS College of Pharmacy in Guntur on Wednesday the pharmacy professor was felicitated in the presence of college directors B. Siva Sirisha and Nagaraju. The college principal Ajith presided.

Chalapathi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences organised the celebrations for the first time. College principal Nadendla Rama Rao asked students to have gratitude towards their institution and teachers.

Sarvepalli remembered

Vignan Educational Institutions celebrated the day by remembering former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Teachers’ Constituency Member of Legislative Council K.S. Lakshman Rao said teachers’ responsibility did not end with teaching the subject.

They must make students aware of their social responsibilities.

Prominent Shatavadhani Garikipati Narasimha Rao at Vadlamudi campus of Vignan Engineering College asked teachers to mould the future of the students .

Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan Minister Murugudu Hanumantha Rao, ZP Chairperson Kuchipudi Vijaya, District Collector Mohammed Ali Rafat, MLC KS Lakshman Rao and District Education Officer M. Ramalingam were present with Guntur-I MLA Nambur Subhani. Some teachers were felicitated.
