GUNTUR: The Virasam leader Varavara Rao, who was produced in the Gurazala sub-court on Tuesday, while coming out of the court, raised slogans against the 14th Dalai Lama.

The Virasam leader, who is an accused in a case related to violating police orders to organise a public meeting in 2002, was brought from Chanchalguda jail and the case was posted to January 16 for next hearing.

'Taking sides'

After coming out of the court, he alleged that the Dalai Lama was not following Buddhist principles in true spirit and was siding with the moneyed people and raised slogans asking him to go back.
