VISAKHAPATNAM: The 11 women of Vakapalli, a primitive tribal group village in G. Madgula mandal who were allegedly gang-raped by policemen last month attended an inquiry being conducted by Superintendent of Police (CB-CID) M. Sadananda Reddy at Paderu on Saturday.

Mr. Sadananda Reddy questioned each woman individually to get details of the incident. He also called the news reporters of Paderu for inquiry. On Friday evening, Mr. Reddy talked to Paderu MLA Lake Raja Rao. The SP said that he might visit Vakapalli if needed. The inquiry report would be submitted in two weeks, he added. The Adivasi Ikya Porata Samiti which organised an indefinite fast at Paderu for a week, seeking arrest of the policemen and justice to the victims, postponed the protest on Friday evening.
