The three-day Urs of Latif Saheb Quadri Dargah began on a colourful note here on Thursday evening with Nalgonda Member of Parliament G. Sukender Reddy, Superintendent of Police Navin Gulati, and many other devotees ‘fakirs' joining the procession.

As a symbol of religious tolerance, Hanuman devotees dressed in saffron robes took part in the procession which passed through the streets of the town before reaching the dargah. Fakirs with needles pierced into different parts of the body, like tongue, cheeks, throat, eyelids and chest, attracted the attention of people. A ‘jatara' will follow the Urs.
