WARANGAL: The members of the Telangana Urdu Teachers Association have urged all the Muslim community, teachers and common public to extend their support to the Telangana cause. The association also passed a resolution to this effect at its third State Council meeting held on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Association honorary president Tiruvarangam Prabhakar urged the Muslims from the Seemandhra region not to oppose the decision made by the UPA government to accord statehood to Telangana.
The association leaders also demanded that the government announce 40 per cent interim relief to the teachers and employees, and to implement the recommendations of the Sachar Committee. They also sought promotions to Urdu medium senior grade teachers.
