The British Council recently announced the first English Language Teaching Research Partnership Awards (ELTRPA) in India, aimed at facilitating innovative research to benefit the learning and teaching of the language in India by funding the awards.

Applications are invited from language teachers, academics and researchers with an affiliation to an educational institution in India. A research proposal that links with UK ELT practices, professionals and institutions is desirable. The awards, valued between GBP 5000 to GBP 500 but payable in Indian Rupees, aim to seed-fund innovative research to benefit the learning and teaching of English in India.
