Noted writer and literary critic Kadilaya Rama Mohan Rao was awarded a major research project by the University Grants Commission (UGC). ‘Evolution of Telugu drama and its impact on society from 1960 to 2010’ is going to be the subject of his research. He will be assessing the quality of play-writing and experiments in production of Telugu plays and examine the standing of Telugu drama in India and the world.

Mr. Rama Mohan Rao is born in 1944 in Siripuram village of Medikonduru mandal of Guntur district. He worked as a tutor in Telugu in A.C. College, Guntur, and as Reader and Head of the Department of Telugu in JKC College, Guntur.
