Speaker Suresh Reddy to inaugurate the event

HYDERABAD: A two-day garment fair put together by Garment Manufacturers and Wholesalers Association (GMWA) will be held at Jewel Gardens, Secunderabad on August 12 and 13.

At a press conference here on Tuesday, Chairman, Fair Committee Amitabh Gupta said the B2B event would be a good opportunity with all stakeholders in the sector participating in it. One hundred stalls would be set up in 35,000 square feet space.

Highlights include display of 500 brands. Around 3,000 delegates would be expected to attend the event. Apart from a food court and a business centre, there would be a fashion show too, he said.

GMWA president J. Manik Rao said it would be inaugurated by Assembly Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy. The association had been committed to developing the apparel trade and industry.

A unique feature of GMWA was the operation of Recovery Committee that had taken care of financial disputes and bad debts in the trade.

The last edition of the fair generated about Rs. 25 crores business with 2000 delegates participating in it.
