YSRC MLAs from Anantapur and Rayadurgam Assembly constituencies resigned from the Legislative Assembly on the issue of bifurcation of the State.

Speaking to the reporters here, YSRC MLA B. Gurunath Reddy said that he was not just resigning for the cause of united State but also as a protest against the ‘unmindful politics’ the Congress was resorting to with regard to Telangana issue. On the other hand, Rayadurgam MLA Kap Ramachandra Reddy said that he had tendered his resignation in the format prescribed by the Speaker for the cause of the united State.

“The Congress is playing with the emotions of the people of Rayalaseema region by coming up with various unacceptable proposals and whiling away time creating enmity among the people of the State,” he alleged.
