Two candidates of Guntur district figured in the list of top 30 rank–holders in the Civil Services examinations whose results were declared on Wednesday. Another two candidates got 700 - plus ranks.
Chandra Sekhar Sakhamuri, a native of Veerapuram village in Piduguralla mandal, secured 24th rank. He hails from an agricultural family. He is an MCA degree holder.
Kolasani Venkata Subbaiah Chowdary,a native of Chilumuru village near Tenali, made the district proud by securing 26th rank.
He is currently undergoing training in Indian Revenue Service as Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax at Nagpur. He is an alumnus of Sri Rama Rural Educational Institutions, Chilumuru. Mr. Chowdary is the grandson of K.V.S. Chowdary, who was the founder of Sri Rama Educational Institutions (established in 1949).
Nalavath Koteswara Naik of Gandiganumula village in Bollapalli mandal secured 747th rank. Kalyan Revella who was trained at Nagarjuna IAS Academy, Guntur secured 841st rank.
