HYDERABAD: City police on Thursday arrested two suspended employees of A.P. Transco Gangula Prabhakar and B. Ravinder Reddy, former divisional engineer and assistant divisional engineer of Warangal respectively in a financial fraud case registered a year ago.

The two employees were charged with duping Transco to the tune of Rs. 1.48 crore, the CCI Inspector Ch.Y. Srinivas Kumar told reporters. Prabhakar had created papers in the name of Sirpur Agro Paper Industries and entered into an agreement with A.P. Transco to supply power. He submitted fake invoice bills and joint meter readings by forging signatures of Transco’s top officials and secured Rs. 1.48 crore fraudulently from AP Transco .
