The Satavahana University has proposed to introduce two post-graduation courses of M.Sc. (Botany) and M.Sc. (Mathematics) from the academic year 2013-14 as part of the uniform expansion of all faculties and departments of the University.
Releasing the annual plan of the University here on Wednesday, Vice-Chancellor K. Veera Reddy said that they had also decided to introduce the Ph.D. programmes in all the existing departments in the University.
He said that they had also decided to fill all the backlog and regular posts at the university in Karimnagar and Godavarikhani PG centres during this year.
Stating that they had bifurcated the University college into three colleges as University College of Science, University College of Pharmaceutical sciences and University College of Arts, Social Sciences and Commerce, he said that they were expecting the UGC inspection committee to visit the University during this academic year for according 12B status under the UGC Act of 1956.
With regard to the delay in non-affiliation of B. Pharmacy courses of the University with the Pharmacy Council of India, he said that they had invited the PCI team to accord the recognition of B. Pharmacy courses of University and hoped that the team would visit very soon and do justice to students.
