The police arrested two persons who were allegedly involved in house-breakings in the city.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) M. Ravindranath Babu said that the duo involved in 14 house-breaking cases registered in the city and West Godavari district.


The police recovered property worth Rs.16.50 lakh, including 561 grams of gold ornaments, one kg silver, and cash in Rs.90,000 from their possession.

The accused were K. Srinivas, 35, a resident of B.C. Colony in Tenali, and G. Jagadish Kumar alias Jagadish, 34, a native of Nagayalanka, and presently residing at Kukatpalli in Hyderabad.

They were found to be involved in four cases in One Town, one each in Krishnalanka and Patamata, two in Penamaluru, and three each in Two Town in the city and Palkol police station in West Godavari.

The duo was imprisoned many times for their involvement in theft cases.
