KADAPA: Two persons died due to heart attack and an SSC girl student attempted suicide in Kadapa district after the last rites of former Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy.

A handloom weaver U. Balanarsaiah, 62, who was deeply moved by the demise of the leader, suffered a massive heart attack in his house in Proddatur town on Saturday and died while being rushed to hospital. It is learnt that the weaver was in constant fear that pension sanctioned for him would be discontinued following Rajasekhara Reddy’s demise.

C. Nageswara Rao, 45, a retail trader and follower of the former Chief Minister who attended the last rites returned to his house at Srinivasanagar in Proddatur town, died of heart attack in the early hours of Saturday.

An SSC student Nagamani, 15, doused herself in kerosene and attempted suicide in her house at Mangampet in Obulavaripalle mandal last night anguished after watching the last rites on television.
