To popularise arjitha sevas being performed at other TTD-run temples, the management is seriously toying with the idea of inter-linking the vacancies of seva tickets at all its information centres located in various parts of the country.
Answering a caller during the ‘Dial TTD EO’ programme on Friday, TTD Executive Officer L.V. Subramanyam said that the tickets for the pre-dawn rituals like Suprabhatam, Thomala and Archana had great demand and it was not easy to make them available on the internet as they were being issued in a very limited number.
The management was therefore considering inter-linking the vacancies in the seva tickets at other temples like – Tiruchanoor, Srinivasa mangapuram and Govindarajaswamy for the advantage of the devotees.
Addressing another caller, Mr. Subramanyam cried for a ‘halt’ to the complaints that the barbers at the Kalyanakatta were demanding money from the pilgrims. The management was leaving no stone unturned in checking the menace, but the devotees themselves were encouraging the unholy practice just to satisfy their personal sentiments. In fact, the management had set-up huge display boards at the massive centre appealing to the pilgrims not to pay any money to the barbers and report to the vigilance and security personnel in case money was demanded.
Responding to the compliments that poured in for the telecast of sanctimonious programmes on the SVB Channel, he said that the intention of the institution was to provide a spiritual atmosphere in every household.
Winding up the programme, he said that the required amenities would soon be made available on the Sri Vari mettu footpath route leading to Tirumala.
On a caller's complaint that barbers at Kalyanakatta are demanding money from pilgrims, the TTD EO appealed to them to report the matter to vigilance and security personnel
