A replica of the Tirumala temple will be set up at the Mela

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams—the official custodian of the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara, billed as the second richest temple in the world will be one of the major stakeholders in the Kumbh Mela at Allahabad, slated to get under way on January 27.

The TTD has decided in this connection to set up at the Mela, a model temple of Lord Venkateswara in such a way that it would serve as a virtual replica of the original shrine with all its splendour, as it exists on the Tirumala hills.

The TTD’s Executive Officer, L.V. Subramanyam, who was closeted with his senior colleagues here on Saturday for a discussion on the project, has said that the model shrine would be every inch a mirror image of the famous Tirumala temple.
