TIRUMALA: TTD Executive Officer A.P.V. Narayana Sarma on Friday inspected the old `kalyanakatta' building premises along with a team of engineering officials and sought to know about the feasibility of allotting it exclusively for `Sri Vari Seva' volunteers.

The building is not being used after construction of the multi-storeyed `kalyanakatta' building. With devotees from different parts of the country participating in the `Sri Vari Seva' voluntary scheme, the management is toying with the idea of providing a permanent accommodation to the participants.

The `Sri Vari Seva' is an unique concept that enables devotees to serve pilgrims like regulating queue lines inside the main temple, helping TTD staff at the massive Annadanam Complex and at the `kalyanakatta', making of flower garlands and such other activities.

The volunteers are currently being provided with free accommodation at different pilgrim amenities complexes situated at a distance from the main temple complex.
