The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Saturday approved its annual budget for the year 2014-15 with an estimated revenue of Rs. 2,402 crore. The major chunk of the revenue as usual is expected from hundi collections which is estimated to be around Rs. 900 crore.

Interest on investments is the second major source of income with the estimates being pegged at Rs. 655.27 crore. Besides this, the TTD expects to net Rs.220 crore from the sale of human hair, Rs. 190 crore from darshan tickets, Rs.130 crore from sale of laddu and other prasadams followed by Rs. 90 crore from choultry receipts, Rs. 46 crore through sale of arjitham tickets, Rs. 38.82 crore by way of loans and advances to employees.
