Unity in diversity is the theme at the Annual Day celebrations

The Annual Day with the theme ‘Celebrate differences’ unfurled beautiful cultural performances at St. Francis School, Madhurawada, here on Friday.

Chairman of ICSE Board, New Delhi, Rev. Jose Aikara, underlined the advantages of the ICSE and ISC Council and its extensive study in the educational system at national and international standards.

He also explained the importance of having good communication skills and how the schools help improve the skills in the long run. “True education is beyond literacy and it lies in building the character of the student,” he said.

Annual report of the school was read out on the day. VUDA Vice-Chairman Kona Sasidhar, who was the chief guest, appreciated the children for showing a considerable progress in the field of education.

Provincial and president of Madhurawada Franciscan Society Rev. John Kochuchira, Principal of the school P.C. Thomas, and others also participated.

At De Paul

With fun and frolic as the main features, students of De Paul School at Ukkunagaram celebrated Annual Day on its premises.

On the occasion, Rev. Jose Aikara, who was the chief guest, said those who completed ISC Board need not appear for TOEFL as it was in collaboration with Cambridge University.

He also stressed the quality of education that ICSE and ISC Board offered to students. Later, he felicitated the toppers of ICSE and SSC Board apart from former students who secured good ranks in professional courses and other entrance examinations.

De Paul School principal Fr. Vincent Edakkarot presented the annual report. General Manager of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant Wilson David and others were present.
