Asks him to go on fast if he is serious about statehood
Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) politburo member A.S. Posetty has challenged the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu to stage a relay hunger strike at least for one day if he was sincere about statehood to Telangana region.
Condemning Mr. Naidu’s reported remarks that the TRS was bogged down with corrupt practices, Mr. Posetty said that Mr. Naidu should stop “flinging mud” at TRS and its leaders when he himself cannot fight for Telangana.
“The State witnessed unprecedented level of corruption during his regime”, he added.
Listing out various scams at a press conference here on Saturday, Mr. Posetty asserted that a number of scams and corrupt practices had come to the fore when Mr. Naidu was the Chief Minister.
“Naidu has forgotten the Food for Work scam in which his party activists colluded with contractors and siphoned away rice to the tune of Rs. 3,600 crore,” he said, pointing out that a series of banks such as Krushi Bank, Charminar Bank, Vasavi Bank, Prudential Bank, Mother Therissa Bank and Nizamabad Town Bank had become bankrupt during his (Naidu’s) period, putting to losses thousands of people due to insolvency of these banks.
“International scamster Kola Krishna Mohan was on record saying that he had given a large amount of money to Mr. Naidu, said Mr. Posetty.
