TRS leaders have threatened to stall the padayatra of TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu demanding that he personally represent his party at the all party meeting to be held at New Delhi on Telangana issue.

The TRS leaders T. Ravinder Rao, P. Sudarshan Reddy and others on Wednesday objected to the Home Ministry’s directive that two persons from each political party could attend the meeting.

Mr. Ravinder Rao and Mr. Sudharshan Reddy said that if Mr. Naidu failed to attend the meeting and speak in favour of Telangana State; the ongoing ‘Vastunaa Mee Kosam’ yatra would not be allowed to pass through the district. Mr. Naidu is scheduled to begin his padayatra in the district from December 28, the day when the Centre convened the all-party meeting on the Telangana issue.

Mr. Ravinder Rao called upon the Telangana activists to Stage protests on Thursday against Union Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde’s statement. The effigy of the Union government would be burnt at all mandal headquarters.

He demanded that the TDP and YSRC announce their stand on Telangana by on Thursday.
