HYDERABAD: Rich tributes were paid to veteran Communist leader and former Rajya Sabha member Dasari Nagabhushana Rao who breathed his last on Sunday night.

Leaders of different political parties and people from various walks of life led by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy paid their last respects to the departed leader whose body was kept at Makhdoom Bhavan, the CPI State headquarters, on Monday.

Telugu Desam Legislature Party deputy leader T. Devender Goud and senior leader Ch. Rajeswar Rao, AICC secretary P. Sudhakar Reddy, CPI (M) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu, Lok Satta Party national coordinator Jayaprakash Narayan and Eenadu Group chairman Ch. Ramoji Rao were among others who paid their respect to Nagabhushana Rao whose body was later taken to Vijayawada.

APCC president D. Srinivas, BJP State president Bandaru Dattatreya, Andhra Pradesh Mahila Samakhya, AP Agriculture Labour Union and various other organisations condoled the death of Nagabhushana Rao.

Recalling the contributions of Mr. Rao, the leader conveyed their sympathies to the members of the bereaved family.
