Former Chief Minister Damodaram Sanjivaiah was remembered at a function organised by All India Federation of SC, ST, BC and Minorities Employees’ Welfare Association, Kurnool district unit, here on Thursday.

The Association founded by Damodaram Sanjivaiah, which was popularly known as Seva Sthambh, paid tributes to him on his 92nd birth anniversary.

District president of the Association B. Sunkanna presided over the function while Y. Izaiah, retired IRS officer, attended as chief guest. The members garlanded the statue of Sanjivaiah at Check-post and recalled the services he rendered to the downtrodden.

Mr. Izaiah said that Sanjivaiah was instrumental in introducing SC/ST sub plan.

Dr. Subramanyam, Nagaraju, Swamanna, Tyagaraju Satyam and others were present.
