Students of tribal welfare school in Gurtedu village of Y. Ramavaram mandal had a field day on Saturday.

Following an invitation from Superintendent of Police G. Srinivas during his recent visit to the Agency area, 40 children accompanied by their teachers arrived here for a two-day trip and began enjoying the hospitality of the district police chief.

The children, who arrived here in the early morning in a special bus, visited deep water port and had fun on the sea shore. After lunch, they visited the laboratory of Rangaraya Medical College. The medicos explained them in detail about the exhibits and the children had their doubts cleared on the spot.

After visiting Sarpavaram police station and interacting with the police there, the children left for the first show of Rajnikanth-starrer ‘Robot' at Sri Mayuri theatre here, which was also arranged by the police.

On the second day of their trip on Sunday, the children would visit Yanam. In the afternoon, they would interact with Mr. Srinivas in his bungalow.

City-based Somu Durga Prasad Charitable Trust is arranging distribution of school bags and other accessories to the children, with which they would leave for their village on Sunday night.
