A city-based vocational training company, SkillPro, will set up its first centre to provide free training to the people without proper schooling to prepare them for entry-level jobs in the city. It already has 11 such centres all over the State.
Briefing media persons on Tuesday, Ananth Rao, chairman, SkillPro, said that India requires 347 million people to address the needs of industries in various sectors. “We train people according the requirements of the company and will also help them in securing jobs,” he said.
SkillPro also plans to expand its services from 60 centres to around 150 in the country next year. Having trained 30,000 youngsters from rural and urban areas across the country so far, the organisation claims to have an 87 per cent job placement.
