A team of trainee IAS officers arrived in Bhadrachalam on Saturday as part of a three-day field based study christened Bharat Darshan in the Bhadrachalam Agency.

According to official sources, the trainee IAS officers met ITDA Project Officer G. Veerapandian soon after their arrival at the temple town.

Mr Veerapandian explained to them about the activities of the ITDA and its role in promoting the cause of tribal people in the Agency.

The ITDA Project Officerelucidated on the wide spectrum of welfare and development programmes being implemented by the ITDA in the 29 tribal sub-plan mandals in the district.

The team will interact with the members of the primitive tribal groups, visit the nutritional rehabilitation centre at the ITDA and various other institutions in the Agency during the next two days.
