Continuing its drive against traffic rule violators, the Hyderabad Traffic Police is launching a special drive to check the vehicles belonging to the media personnel from Friday, a press release said.

The traffic police wing is embarking on this exercise after it was being accused of ignoring violations by “Press” vehicles through social media sites, emails and phone calls, the release said.

The press vehicles will also be checked for violations such as writing ‘PRESS' on the number plate, stop line violation, signal jumping, wrong parking, triple riding, using mobiles while driving, wrong side driving and lack of proper documents like DL, RC and PUC, the release said.
