Hyderabad police have cranes to tow vehicles parked at wrong places. But their cranes are not useful to shift big vehicles like trucks and containers. The unpreparedness of city police for traffic emergencies came to fore once again on Thursday when a tanker turned turtle at Tarnaka.

They had to hire a private crane to shift the tanker to restore traffic flow on Tarnaka-Habsiguda stretch. If it took more than six hours for removing the tanker on road, what if some accident involving huge vehicles takes place on the fly-over during peak hours?
