The city traffic police have imposed traffic restrictions for Gunadala Marymatha Mahotsavams to be held from February 9 to 11.
Traffic diversions would be made for the convenience of the pilgrims attending the festival, said the police and appealed to the public to cooperate.
Vehicles carrying devotees from Police Control Room to Marymatha Shrine via Eluru Road will be allowed up to Padavala Revu Centre and sent back. Other vehicles proceeding from Control Room to Ramavarappadu will be diverted through Chuttugunta, Moghalrajpuram, Siddhartha Academy, Amma Kalyana Mandapam, and ESI Hospital.
All vehicles coming from Ramavarappadu will be diverted at ESI Hospital Road, Machavaram police station road, Jemmichettu Centre, Visalandhra Road, Eluru and will join on Eluru Road. Devotees’ vehicles coming from Kreesturajupuram to Gunadala Centre will be allowed up to Gangireddula Dibba. Only permitted vehicles will be allowed up to Padavalarevu via Bethlehem Nagar.
Vehicles transporting the devotees from Visalandhra Road and special buses will be allowed through ASR Bridge, Madhura Nagar Junction, BRTS Road, and Padavalarevu Junction. No vehicles will be allowed from Gangireddule Dibba entrance to Bethlehem Nagar during the festival and the residents have been requested to cooperate with the police.
Parking places have been allotted for the vehicles coming from Chuttugunta at BRTS Road, for vehicles proceeding from Ramavarappadu parking space will be provided at ESI Hospital Road and at parking lot is arranged at Gangireddula Dibba for the vehicles arriving from Kristurajupuram.
