Only 4 firms in race for Mangalagiri project
The firms will present their business proposals on Nov. 24 Covers containing technical proposals opened on Nov. 19
VIJAYAWADA: The Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri Urban Development Authority (VGTM-UDA) has advanced the date for opening of the covers containing the financial proposals of bidders who can develop the Amaravathi Township near Mangalagiri to November 25.
The UDA had earlier fixed November 30 as the date for opening the covers to name the successful bidder, but decided to advance it by five days as only four firms remained in the race.
Expecting that at least seven to eight firms would be in the race, the UDA had earlier set apart November 24 and 25 for presentation of business proposals by all the firms.
But the race whittling down to four firms obviated the need for reserving another day for presentations.
The four firms competing now, i.e. Parsvanath Builders, Madhucon Projects (in association with Arihant Group), Indo-African Industries and Indu Properties Private Limited, will make presentations on their business proposals on November 24 before the expert committee constituted by the UDA.
The committee includes P. Padmavathi, Director of School of Planning & Architecture, JNTU, Hyderabad; S. Ramesh, chief architect of Municipal Corporation of Delhi; C. Arunachalam of School of Planning & Architecture, Chennai; Dinakar P. Samanth, chief architect & planner, CIDCO, Mumbai; Suresh Kuppuswamy, Director of School of Architecture & Planning, Chennai; and some officials of the UDA.
They will also be present when the important financial covers are opened on November 25, which will decide the developer of the township. The covers containing the technical proposals of these firms were already opened on November 19.
