Both States offer special circuits for tourists of varied segments
HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat will be signing a memorandum of understanding shortly on tourism.
This was stated by Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) Chairman T.K. Dewan at a road show of the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd here on Monday.
He said both States were putting together special circuits for tourists of varied segments along with a built-in discount structure.
Gujarat Tourism Chairman Kamlesh Patel said Gujarat was making strides in every sphere of activity.
Power generation in the State was ideal with provision of a three-phase supply to every village. This had a spin-off in other spheres, too, and was fast turning into a win-win situation.
P.D. Vaghela, Managing Director, said the corporation was coming up with different tourist-friendly packages every season. Rush of tourists coming to witness the world's longest dance festival was increasing with every coming year, he noted.
Responding to an invitation from Mr. Vaghela, AP Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director Raymond Peter said he would put together a group of artistes to showcase the culture and tradition of Andhra Pradesh for the forthcoming Navratri festival.
