Kadiam requests the two groups to press Congress on the issue
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) senior leader Kadiam Srihari has called upon the Telangana political JAC and TRS leaders to ask the Congress party to disclose its stand on Telangana statehood before the allparty meeting at New Delhi on December 28.
Mr. Srihari was here on Thursday to review the arrangements for TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu’s ‘Vastunna Mee Kosam’ padayatra. Party’s district leaders Ch. Vijayaramana Rao, G. Kamalakar, E. Peddi Reddy and others were also present.
Talking to newsmen, Mr. Srihari alleged that the Congress party had invited two representatives from each party for the all-party meeting only to further delay the formation of the Telangana state.
“In spite of all the political parties, including TDP, TRS, BJP and Telangana Congress leaders, demanding the Union government to invite only one representative for the meeting, the government had invited two representatives only to further delay the statehood issue”, he said and demanded that the Congress high command should invite only one representative from each party for the all-party meeting in Delhi if it was committed to the Telangana statehood.
