Tirupati lad secures seat in BITS, Dubai

TIRUPATI: D. Vinod became the first student from Tirupati and one among the five in the State to secure a seat in the Dubai campus of the prestigious BITS-Pilani.

The college, situated in Dubai Knowledge Village, is an offshoot of the Pilani (Rajasthan)-based BITS, a dream destination for engineering students. Vinod, son of D.L.N. Chetty, has secured admission in merit to the four-year Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) programme under Computer Science stream. Andhra Bank's Balaji Nagar branch has extended a loan of Rs.15 lakhs under its `Educational Loans' scheme to Vinod.
