VIJAYAWADA: They came with lots of confidence and aspiration to carve out a bright future with the help of high quality education together with the best of guidance available from the academic personalities. The students’ enthusiasm knew no bounds at the skills meet organised by the Cygmax Institute of Management Studies on Saturday.
The day-long sessions were made lively with audio-visual presentations by the experts, who dwelt at length on the nitty-gritty of excelling in the fast-paced world of competition.
The speakers drove their point home to the students that soft skills were of paramount importance in the present day industry, as the managements were more interested in recruitment of effective candidates equipped with industry-ready capabilities. When the question of ability and effectiveness was considered, the students would do well by acquiring them by constant observation and practice.
Cygmax principal N.J.S. Rao said students would have to acquire more skills than just the subject knowledge to do well in their careers.
