Situated in the heart of the city, NTR gardens serves as a centre of attraction for many tourists. Spread over 34 acres, the garden boasts of enclosures where one can unwind and enjoy amid natural settings. Nestled on the banks of Hussainsagar, the park is also situated near other tourist attractions like Birla Mandir, Lumbini Park, Jal Vihar and Necklace Road making it an ideal summer evening getaway for many families in the city.

On an average, 6,000 people visit the garden each day, P. Rajender Reddy, Director Urban Forestry said. During summers, this number jumps to 11,000 visitors a day with highest number till date being 18,000 people, he said. The park has sections like Down Town, Revolving Tower, Japanese Garden, Bonsai garden, Fruit Garden and even 3D theatre, he said. The area around the garden also makes an ideal place for a leisure walk as the spacious footpaths also sport small time vendors selling refreshments.
