Three officials -- district TB control officer, a work inspector in housing department and a senior assistant -- were caught red-handed while taking bribe by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths in three separate incidents.

According to an ACB release, district TB control officer, Eluru, West Godavari was caught when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs.20,000 from a senior supervisor of TB Centre, Tanuku for an official favour of not transferring him.

In another case, a work inspector (outsourcing), housing department, Madakasira, Anantapur district, was trapped while taking a bribe of Rs.5,000 for processing the payment of house constructed under Indiramma scheme. In yet another case, a senior assistant of Social Welfare Office at Kadapa was caught after he took a bribe of Rs.2,000 for processing the increment file of the complainant, who is a hostel warden, ST Boys Hostel B. Mattam, Kadapa district.

While the district TB control officer was arrested, the other two were being arrested and all of them would be produced in the court.
