KARIMNAGAR: Disillusioned with party ideology, three Maoists including a woman, have surrendered before Superintendent of Police Y. Gangadhar in the presence of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Harikrishna here on Friday.
The surrendered naxalites include Khammam district Charla LOS commander Pitchi Samakka alias Jhansi (22), her husband and dalam member Bore Lachaiah alias Lakshman (21) and Mahadevpur special guerilla squad deputy commander Kode Shyamsunder alias Shyam (23).
Samakka who carried an SLR weapon was involved in two murder cases in Pinpaka and Charla mandals. She escaped two exchanges of fires in Adavimutharam and Narsampet areas. She joined the party attracted by the revolutionary songs in 2000. She married dalam member Lakshman two months ago, who joined the party in 2005.
Kode Shyamsunder joined the party in 2003 as dalam member and later worked as guard to North Telangana special zone committee member Gajala Ravi alias Ganesh for two years. He worked in Sironcha of Maharashtra region also. He faced three exchanges of fire and carried a .303 rifle.
The SP assured them a rehabilitation package announced by the Government.
